Wichita Transit is a department of the City of Wichita. Wichita Transit has approximately 130 employees, including vehicle operators, mechanics, and administrative staff. Administrative offices are located at 777 E. Waterman, and the downtown Transit Center is located at 214 S. Topeka.
Wichita Transit is committed to meeting the needs and priorities of the citizens of Wichita with the most courteous, affordable, reliable, and economical public transportation possible. A Transit Advisory Board, appointed by the Wichita City Council, is responsible for making recommendations to the City Council on transit operations.
