Wichita Transit is a department of the City of Wichita. Wichita Transit has approximately 130 employees, including vehicle operators, mechanics and administrative staff.
Wichita Transit is committed to meeting the needs and priorities of the citizens of Wichita with the most courteous, affordable, reliable, and economical public transportation possible. A Transit Advisory Board of 21 members, appointed by the Wichtia City Council, is responsible for making recommendations to the City Council on transit operations.
