Who Can Participate in the Access to Jobs Program?
A federal grant provides rides to individuals in transition from welfare to work. Individuals must be within 150% of poverty level. A participating agency must pay 50% copay per ride. Each ride is a one-way ride. All the individual's income must be considered when determining program eligibility (i.e., SSI, SSDI, wages, etc.)
Hours of Operation
Access to Jobs provides rides 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Where can Riders Go?
Access to Jobs provides service to and from work. Rides are provided for job interviews, pre-employment physicals, and child care when parent is going to work. The program provides service within the city of Wichita and to adjacent industrial areas.
